Have you seen new construction sites where they spray green stuff all over the dirt? And later there's grass growing? It's called hydro-seed, and it's available at Bonin's Lawn Service. Hydro-seeding is the process in which seed, fertilizer, mulch and water are mixed together to form a slurry mixture that is sprayed, under pressure, onto topsoil, transforming the dirt into a grassy lawn, a play park or a ball field in seven to 14 days. We can also spray roadsides, ditches and pond banks. In the fall, we can over-seed lawns and sports turf with winter grasses for a durable, functional and good-looking lawn all year long. Other ingredients can be added to the primary formula, including hormones, water-absorbent gels, lime for pH balance, growth stimulants, synthetic fibers, enzymes, pre-germinated seed and a tackifier (bonding agent). Bonin's Lawn Service will spray various blends of grass seed, including centipede, Bermuda or rye. In only a few weeks, you'll have a green, lush lawn ... or you can even repair a dying lawn. Hydro-seeding is a great alternative to sodding at a fraction of the cost! It's better than sod because it requires less watering and you get a fast, disease-free lawn.
